Asparagus Fettuccine

It's springtime which means it's time for the early season vegetables to start appearing in the markets.

One of my favorite spring vegetables is asparagus. We were fortunate to have an asparagus patch in our garden growing up. I always enjoyed the bright and spring-like flavor after being inside all winter.

While you can get asparagus year-round pretty much everywhere now, it is better to grab a bunch or two this time of year when it’s in season.

This fettuccine recipe brings out the brightest flavors from the asparagus. The lemon brightens it up, and the pepper gives it a real kick. It’s great for a vegetarian weekend or weeknight meal.
